Dear Mr. Hoffmann:
I should have written sooner to confirm to you that the package
as described in your letter of 25 January arrived in perfect con-
dition and in ample time for Walter Hinrichsen to take the material
with him to London. I have not heard yet concerning his meeting
with the engraver, but I feel sure that the final result will meet
with the approval of Professor Schoenberg and yourself.

My husband expects to return to New York by the middle of March,
and you will certainly hear from him shortly thereafter. In the
meantime, I am enclosing two recent articles by Mr. Virgil Thomson
from the New York Herald Tribune which will interest Professor
Schoenberg and yourself. (Most likely you have already received
copies of these.)
